What is a typical search timeline?

Our deliberate focus on Biomedical Research and Development recruitment and retention on a daily basis affords us a depth and breadth of "market" knowledge that brings the full value of Focused Flexibility to bear in a time frame that assists each Client in capitalizing on its business opportunities within their critical timelines.

Our experience has shown that a search project is most likely to produce timely, tangible results when all parties work from a mutually agreed upon agenda. MyEducationJobs is in the business of identifying, isolating and evaluating candidates who excel rather than those who are only average. With input from the Client's essential team members, we design a strategy of activities to be executed that are adapted specifically for each Client's individual needs. Phase One

  • Meet with Client to establish and discuss, in-depth, the position specifications and candidate profile.

  • Pre-search due diligence is done concurrently with Position Profile development.

  • Target lists are developed; initial sourcing of candidates ensues.

Phase Two

  • We maintain regular contact with Clients regarding results and pertinent information.

  • We apprise Clients of any potential areas of concern and make corrective adjustments.

  • Comprehensive sourcing and screening of candidates continues.

Phase Three

  • Outstanding candidates are formally presented to the Client.

  • Initial interviews commence.

  • Refined sourcing and screening of candidates continues.

Phase Four

  • Discussion meetings are held to determine a 'short list'.

  • Leading candidates are scheduled for required interviews.

  • Final reference checking is done.

Final Phase

  • Client's staff conduct final interviews with the leading candidates.

  • The best candidate is selected and a final hiring decision is rendered.

  • An offer is compiled and extended to the selected candidate.

  • Candidate accepts the Client offer & tenders resignation to their current employer.

  • Post acceptance contact and closure with candidates not selected.

  • Extended post acceptance follow-up with the Client and new employee.

Typically, we are able to source the first candidate that meets at least the primary search criteria, within fifteen business days of validation of the assignment. With mutual fine-tuning of the criteria we are historically able to present additional candidates, as needed, within thirty days and we continue to source candidates until the search is successfully concluded. Geographic proximity of the candidates to a Client, as well as their availability to meet with the candidates, influences the time required to complete a specific assignment. How does MyEducationJobs identify candidates?

The basis of our philosophy for identifying and isolating that special candidate is simple by design. While most recruiting firms delegate the demanding research process to junior-level research personnel, at MyEducationJobs the Principals personally complete the research, sourcing, and development of the candidate base for each assignment we accept. By doing so, we believe we significantly improve the quality and effectiveness of the sourcing and, consequently, the caliber of the candidate base developed. Ultimately, our Clients are often able to gain access to candidates that might otherwise have said "no'.

Of particular importance, the candidates we present are balanced individuals who have given careful consideration to the overall opportunity and whose decision to make a change is for reasons that transcend money alone. They are not the type of people who are prone to answering advertisements. We identify relevant factors assuring that only those candidates with the requisite technical or industry knowledge, plus the proper behavioral traits, make it to the short list presented to a Client.

Is MyEducationJobs a "retained", or contingency search firm?

We are not defined by our financial arrangements, but rather by our services, performance, and ultimately by the value we deliver to our Clients.We compose financial arrangements which reflect of the needs of our Clients.

Our goal is to partner with each Client in a way that provides robust, efficient search and consultative support services for individual and multiple position searches or on those components of organizational staffing projects that a Client elects to outsource. Our professional commitment is to clearly demonstrate, on every assignment we undertake, that MyEducationJobs can consistently deliver candidates who are culturally 'on target' and are able to make significant contributions to forward the realization of a Client's near-term and long-term objectives.

Below is a sampling of programs we have instituted to provide our Clients with an exceptional amount of control and flexibility in establishing our financial arrangements.

Engaged Search: Our Engaged Search offers several benefits through a shared risk format based upon performance incentives. It differs from the traditional "Retained Search" in both payment structure and in performance guarantees. The search service fee payments are tied to specific performance metrics for services delivered -- shared risk. Our Engaged Search provides Clients with such tangible benefits as increased Client/Candidate confidentiality (as requested), right of first refusal on candidates, money back performance guarantees, and, most importantly, the appropriate dedication of time and resources required for the timely fulfillment of the assignment.

Multiple Search Discounts

  • Descending Scale: Fees can be reduced on a per hire basis in the event of multiple hires.

  • Flat Fee Schedules

  • (Group Multiple Acquisition Program): When a Client's search strategy is to acquire a fully qualified slate of candidates for the selection and employment of multiple candidates for a given Position Profile.

Annual Engaged Services Agreement : This format can be configured to include a varying menu of search and search consulting services.

Stock In-Lieu Of: We are willing to take as much of 25% of our fees in stock or stock options of our Clients who are publicly held.

Fee for Equity: We appreciate that many start-up and even some later-stage companies have a need to conserve financial resources. In certain situations, we will negotiate equity positions in lieu of cash payment. This approach offers Clients the opportunity to conserve precious cash resources while further establishing the mutual alliance of the interests of MyEducationJobs and the Client.

Does MyEducationJobs specialize?

Yes. In broad terms we specialize in the recruitment and retention of life science professionals in Biomedical Research and Development. For purposes of a more refined definition, our area of expertise encompasses the Pharmaceutical (human and animal), Biotechnology, and Specialty Chemical business sectors.We successfully handle searches from the staff scientist through senior management.
